Bali is well known for tourist routes. With us and thanks to our local guide and the experience of jabi living for almost 15 years already there, you will get into the path of the true heart of the Island of the Gods.
Bali may be most famous for its lush rain forests, beaches, ethereal green rice terraces & soaring volcanoes, but the island also incredibly rich from a cultural perspective, and people photography will feature prominently as well.
In addition, this unique Bali photo tour offers the opportunity to photograph very special events to which you will have exclusive access and freedom.
Day One
Private performances for portrait sessions in natural spaces.
Airport pickup and taxi to your hotel in Surabaya
Welcome drinks and lunch / afternoon tea at the hotel
Settle into your room and take advantage of a complimentary massage and enjoy the pool

The photo adventure starts here
The Balinese Photographic Workshop has been carefully planned to provide a balance between guided shoots on location, explore Bali and it culture, supportive image-editing sessions back at the hotel and free time to either enjoy the vibrant shopping and arts of Ubud (the cultural capital of Bali)
The itinerary will also provide ample opportunities to either shop, indulge in the exotic cuisine of the many restaurants and cafés in Ubud. Before each shoot you will be briefed as to how maximise the creative opportunities of each location and have ample support on hand to choose the most appropriate settings on your camera and talk with the friendly locals. All meals are included in the cost of the tour and we will be exploring a variety of top restaurants for dinner each evening. You will be leaving Bali with images ready to share online with your family, friends or you social media
After Briefing at the hotel we will be able to do our first shooting. This will be at Bromo for sunset and if the weather let us, why not try some astro too. This is probably one of the most iconic places on Indonesia.
Day two
in the morning we will be back to do sunrise of Bromo but from a different angle and location. After that we will go to shooting some epics waterfalls on the surroundings.
Then back to the hotel and get ready to go to Ijen crater blue fire. Is a long drive but we must get there in the evening.
The hike to this location we must need to start at night. After shooting some Astro and sunrise we will go to Bali island and our hotel in Ubud.
Day Three
We will wake up early to do sunrise at among the rice terraces and with a view of majestic Mt Agung, the most famous active volcano on Bali.
You will be shown the best settings to use on camera to capture stunning long-exposure landscapes with sharp focus throughout your scene while using a remote release (no necessary)
For this shooting we will need a wide angle lens, also telelens and a tripod.
Waterfall Photoshoot. This location offers a great opportunity to capture the beauty and drama Bali’s best waterfall.
This is probably one of the most beautiful waterfalls on Bali.
After you have explored the photographic opportunities that this idyllic location has to offer why not take a swim to cool off before lunch. From here we return to base camp to process images. Take a relaxing massage and refresh before heading out for shoot sunset in another amazing location
Sunset SeascapeFor this shoot we descend from the hills to explore the coastal scenery. Probably one of the most famous temples in Bali, called Tanah Lot
We will have the chance to explore local markets, walk along the beaches Jabi’s and WorldPhotoXperience team will then guide you to capture stunning long-exposure seascapes at sunset before returning to Ubud for dinner.
Day Four
Sunrise at Mataharashi, private location than we will have grant access thanks to our local guide. The views from above of this spot are just something incredible. Beautiful rice fileds, mount Agung the volcano on the foreground and the sun rising from the horizon.

After this we can have some snacks and coffees and on the way to the hotel we can explore some of the most popular waterfalls.
For sunset we can go to Tegalagang Rice terrace
In the evening we will have some time to explore Ubud and also to download our files to the computer.
Day Five
Sunrise at Lake Temple Shoot Pura Ulun Danu Bratan is a 17th Century water temple.
Located in a fairy tale setting on a lake in the mountain highlands. It is here we will explore the many photographic opportunities the lakeside scenery has to offer.
After this shooting we will go to ones of the most hidden gem waterfalls you can imagine on Bali, not yet known by tourists.
Back to the hotel for some rest and get ready to see one of the most beautiful rice fields on the world. The UNESCO rice fields of Jatiluwih where we will explore and shoot sunset.
Day Six
This Sunrise shooting, one of our favourites, Sanur beach provide the opportunity to catch amazing reflections, of a local boats
We will also have the chance to capture the picturesque action of a fishermen’s net catching the rising sun.

After this we will back to the hotel for breakfast and check our work
For this shooting is recommended a wide angles lens, ND filter, tripod and polarize.
We must be ready after shooting because from here will take a boat to go to Nusa Penida Island. Well know for his incredible whites beaches, stunning cliffs and swimming with Manta Rays on a crystal water.
After a quick check inn at the hotel we will go to do a sunset shooting to probably one of the most iconic and beautiful beaches on the world. Knows as well as Dinosaur rock.

Day Seven
Wake up early again. We will cross the whole island to go to photograph a beach with a beautiful rock formation on the water. Just right after sunrise we can make some more shootings from above of these amazing cliffs.
Back to the hotel and have some rest. After all these days we will be probably very tired. We can also use this time to check some of our photos and do some editing.
For sunset we will go to Broken beach and Billabong beach, 2 different locations one next to the other.

Day Eight
First day we will have time to sleep hahahaha….have a good breakfast then go to the harbour and take a boat back to Bali. On the way to our hotel in Sanur area we can check if we still want to photograph any other locations or maybe better just have a good time for shopping, massages and relax.
The itinerary flexible and will always be dependent on the weather. It can be modified by our guides / instructors based on their experience so you can enjoy photography to the fullest.

There must be a minimum group size of 6 people. Once we have reached the minimum group, you will be sent an e-mail so that you can proceed to make the payment to formalize the reservation.
A valid passport is recommended, although a European Health Insurance Card is not necessary, if advisable. The traveller is responsible at all times for having the necessary valid documentation for the journey.
The description and itinerary of the photo tour, shows the planning of the tour in a general way. However, we reserve the right to review or modify it during the tour due to weather conditions, flight schedule changes or other variables beyond our control.
We also reserve the right to cancel the workshop if the minimum number of participants is not met. And although we do not anticipate this happening and only in extreme cases, we reserve the right to adjust the rates for this photo tour due to factors beyond our control, such as fluctuations in exchange rates, political or governmental measures, new applicable taxes and other related issues.
In case of cancellation of the photo workshop due to major causes or if the workshop is finally not held due to not meeting the minimum number of attendees, Jabi Sanz will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by the participants for the workshop, such as airplane tickets, purchase of photographic material or any other concept related to the workshop.
It is expected that the participants will be in good health and will be able to enjoy each day walking around the different locations and places, while carrying their own photographic equipment.
- Each participant must purchase the flights on their own.
- It is mandatory to have health insurance coverage in order to participate in the workshop.
- No food or drinks are included except for some breakfasts that will be included in the hotel.

- The workshop has not yet been confirmed. This confirmation will be notified to all attendees once the minimum number of places has been reached.
- If, once the workshop is confirmed, that vacancy left by the cancellation is filled by another participant. In that case, the payment made for the ticket will be returned 100%.
- What level of photography is required?
Don’t worry if you have no knowledge of photography Jabi Sanz will be at your disposal to give you support on any kind of doubt that may arise at the time of taking the photos. Our small groups make learning something very personal.
On this trip you will learn landscape photography techniques, use of filters, bracketing, blending, multi-exposure and night photography. Also how to take advantage of all these techniques with a good development in Lightroom, Photoshop and Post-processing techniques.
There is no minimum level of knowledge or minimum equipment required. Any current digital camera can be used to photograph the landscapes we will see. Jabi will help you with any doubt in order to get the best possible pictures.
For me it is very important the work of processing the photos you take during the trip so we will dedicate part of the trip to process them so it will be advisable to bring a laptop. What should I bring?
A trip like this one, generates many doubts as far as the necessary material is concerned, especially as far as clothes and equipment are concerned. Don’t worry about anything. We will advise you about everything that can be interesting to take to have a totally satisfactory experience in Indonesia and we will tell you exactly which are the essential ones that you cannot forget (photographic equipment, documentation, warm clothes, etc…) from the moment of your booking I I will be in continuous contact to solve any of your doubts.
